Alyce Jean Toney December 28, 1948~ June 4, 2020

Alyce, was born December 28, 1948, in Chicago, IL to the late James & Eunice Toney. They later moved to St. Louis, MO. At the age of 13 Alyce Jean decided to move to Columbia, MS and live with her beloved grandmother Molly Toney. This is where she attended school, called home, and gained extended family.

To know Alyce Jean was to love her. She helped raised many in the community and for several years worked as a Babysitter. Alyce became affectionately know as “Jean-Jean” with the kids. She will truly be missed for her warm smile and that special greeting “Hey Love!”

Alyce leaves to cherish her memories two sons-Kevin D. Toney, Ceneka M. Toney; one god-daughter-Porsha Owokunle; special daughters-Tosha Taylor, Peaches Daniels and AJ. Mingo; six grandchildren, one sister; Beverly Fortune; one brother- Robert L Toney; nieces-Stacy, Tajon, Brirrany, Baby K, Nadia and Treana; nephews-Kenmar, Michael, Nicholas and Dink; a host of other relatives and extended family.
