David Lee McKitric, 62, passed Tuesday, January 14, 2025 in Stanford, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Mary Burton Lancaster and the late Joseph McKitric. David was born, October 7, 1962, in Danville, Ky. David was raised in Danville, Kentucky and later relocated to Trotwood, Ohio and graduated from Trotwood Madison High School and was a member of the wrestling team. He enlisted and served in the United States Army and Army Reserve from August 13, 1984 - October 17, 1994. He loved being a veteran never missing a celebration.
David was preceded in death by parents, his brother, William โBillyโ Burton. He is survived by his sons Daniel Barnett, Ft. Wayne, IN and Jamar Harlan, Tennessee; his sister, Twylla McKitric, Shreveport, LA; brother, LeVar Burton, Danville, KY; 18 grandchildren; aunt, Brenda ( Michael) Hughes, Danville, KY; his step-father, Donald Lancaster, Danville, KY; a step-daughter, KaโTeadra Miller, Danville, KY; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Funeral Service
Thursday, January 23, 2025, at St. James A.M.E., 124 E. Walnut St., Danville, KY. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. โ until time of service at 1:00 pm.
