Kathleen A. Ford, 69, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Stanford Crossing in Stanford, Kentucky.

Born on May 15, 1957, in Port Chester, New York, she was the daughter of the late Eldridge Jackson and Mary T. Jackson.

Kathy was a formidable, fiercely independent woman who built a wonderful life on her own terms—finding her ideal happiness in living life just as she pleased. A dedicated worker, she balanced a career as an office manager for a steel company while successfully running her own professional cleaning business on the side.

She took immense pride in purchasing her own home, keeping it immaculate and beautifully decorated with vibrant colors. Gifted with a natural green thumb, she maintained a pristine yard and filled her indoor spaces with gorgeous houseplants.

An exceptionally artistic person, Kathleen studied fashion in college and was a talented seamstress who even crafted her own bridal gown. She also excelled at knitting and crocheting, and always cherished a good adventure while traveling.

She is survived by her brother, Eldridge Jackson, Jr.; her sister, Barbara Jackson-Shennan; her devoted cousin, Albert Hawkins and his family; her best friend, Sandra Cooper; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Family has chosen cremation.
