Margaret Louise Yowell Alcorn, 83, of Danville, KY, passed away at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center on Sunday, March 9, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1942, to the late Sammie T. Yowell and Matilda Young. She is an Alumnus of Bate High School and worked at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for many years with whom she also retired. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing Cards and spending time with family & friends.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving her are her 6 children Kelvin (Pamela) Alcorn, Jennifer (Barry) Alcorn, Steve (Laura) Alcorn, Jeffrey Alcorn, Eric Alcorn, Brad Alcorn. She had 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin and her siblings, sisters, Georgia Mitchell, Louella Mitchell, Tillie Stallworth and brother, James “Bill” Young.

Mrs Margaret was a wonderful supporter of our church. She attended various services and events we had and always enjoyed herself. We will miss her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God keep you in His care.
