Phyllis Ann Key, 77, of Danville, Kentucky passed away Thursday December 24th, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Earl Key, her father and mother, the late Joseph McKinney of Aurora, IL and the late Lillian Baker of Parksville, Kentucky. On December 26, 2020 her son Henry Earl "Tiny" succeeded her in death.
Phyllis was born in Parksville, Kentucky on December 10, 1943. She was an employee of Genesco for 20+ years and also worked at Deco Art. She loved fishing, sitting out on her front porch, and occasionally played bingo. Phyllis was a faithful member of St. James AME Church of Danville, Kentucky where she was a part of the kitchen committee and a missionary in the Nora F. Smith Missionary Society.
Phyllis is survived by her 3 sons William Anthony Key of Nicholasville, Joseph (DjKarta) Key of Danville, James (Tabitha) Key of Danville, 12 Grandchildren: Kia Key, Lamont Key, Jacondre Key, Ina & Ivy Turner, JaKobi Turner, Jade Smith, Ja’Lin Preston, Jenae Taylor, Jeffrey Woolridge, Timothy Johnson, Ashley Johnson; 13 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; 3 sister-in-law and 1 brother-in-law Special Friends include the late Viola Young, Sallesa Dismeaux, Freda Harris, and Missy Griffin.
