Zachary Lee Dawson was born January 28, 1991 in Danville, KY. Graduating with honors from Danville High School in 2009, he not only excelled academically but also served as a Captain on the football team and member of the Upward Bound Program.
His journey continued at Campbellsville University, where he pursued his passion for mathematics education, aspiring to mold young minds as a math teacher. Zach, affectionately known as "750" brought joy to all with his infectious humor and personality. Whether on the football field or the basketball court, his confidence was exemplified by his infamous cry of "DEER" during recreational games.
Most of all Zach was admired for his unwavering authenticity. He lived by his moral code, #RealNeverFake, remaining true to himself until his final breath. His legacy is one of humility, kindness, and the courage to always be genuine in a world that often values conformity over authenticity. Zach Dawson will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever inspire those whose lives he touched.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Gay Dawson Turner; father, Carey Henry; his siblings, Max (Kelsie Sallee) Ray, Stephen (Brianna Emerson) Ray, Autumn Ray, J’Careya Henry, Justyce Henry, Jadyiah Henry, Sara Bell Sims, Braxton Sims, Shy Sims, Isaiah Henry, Cara Henry Wilcher, Carey Henry, Keira Hart; grandmothers, Camille Dawson and Agatha Henry; uncles, Kurt Dawson, Gary Michael Dawson and Garey Henry; several nieces, nephews, cousins, special children in Zach’s heart, Omarion Whitley, Ozareia Whitley, OZaylin Alarcon and his many friends.
