Weckea, you were such a great colleague -- always quietly brilliant and reassuringly kind. We were so lucky to work with you at the University of Chicago Library and we miss you more than words can say. Rest peacefully, friend.
I am going to miss you my dear friend and brother. Thank you for your friendship, counseling, laughs, debates, invitations to do research together, agreeing to be my study partner in psych class (FSU) and so much more. Thank you, Lilly.... You were one of a kind!
Peace and blessings to Weckea's family during this time.
Weckea, you were truly one of a kind. Thoughtful, funny, and always ready to go deep, whether we were talking about life, love, or the words of Baldwin and Morrison. You had a way of making space for truth and laughter at the same time. Our conversations meant everything to me, and I'll carry them with me always. I'll miss you more than words can say. You'll always have a place in my heart.
