MOTHER LEONIA HUNTLEY CAPLE

Mrs. Leonia Huntley Caple was born in Wadesboro, North Carolina on February 2, 1923 to Janie Horne and John B. Huntley. She received her wings at the blessed age of 97 years and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Home. She confessed Christ at an early age at Deep Creek Baptist Church and later on in life she joined Morning Star Redeemed Church of God in Christ. She was a lifelong resident of Anson County. She attended Anson County Public Schools. She was married to Willie James Caple and to this union was born a son, Larry Glance Caple. She was a Wife, Mother, Daughter-in-law, Sister, Aunt, and a Loving Friend. She was a fun-loving person, loved to laugh and an encourager. Leonia was preceded in death by: Husband, Willie James Caple; Mother, Janie Huntley; Father, John B. Huntley; Grandmother, Mary Emma Huntley; Grandfather, Frank Huntley; Mother-in-law, Rosa Caple Kirby Williams; Uncle, Elijah Huntley; Sister, Esther Lee Huntley; Brother, William Harris Linton; Sister-in-law, Emma Caple and a devoted friend, Thomas C. Kirby; Cousins: Johnsie Mae Huntley Parker and Martha Helen Huntley Martin. Leonia leaves behind to cherish her Memories, her devoted Son, Larry Glance Caple; Sisters-in-law, Eva Mae Gilbert and Lizzie Kate Kirby; Brothers-in-law, Marshall Caple and Otis Kirby. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

The Homegoing Services celebrating Mother Caple's life and legacy were held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, 11:00am, Smith's Funeral Home, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment followed the service at Morning Star Redeem Church of God Cemetery, Lilesville, North Carolina.
