MR. ANTHONY HENDERSON

I met Tony in 1975 at GMU in Fairfax, VA. We were in the same fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon. We have posted an announcement in our FB Alumni page and so many are posting heartfelt remembrances. He was beloved in our chapter. Condolences to Sharon, family and friends for this loss. May he rest in peace.

Sharon, sorry to hear about yours, your family's, and our loss. Tony was a real gem. Got time to share a summer job with him, his strength on the wrestling mat and his toughness on the football field for three years. He was always a leader. His sense of humor and smile are with me even today. I always considered him a good friend and he will be missed. All of our heart felt thoughts are with you. Mark Steadman

I was also on the football and wrestling team with Tony as the manager for both teams. The one thing I remember about Tony is that on the first day that girls were allowed to wear pants to school.Tony decided to protest he wore a dress. He didn't wear it for very long but he did wear one. We all got a good laugh out of it. Tony was a great guy and he will be missed. Rest in peace Tony and my prayers go to his family.

I always had a crush on Anthony! He was always very nice to me, I remember one day my family was getting ready to go on a special outing. And we couldn't find my oldest sister and she was up at the pool with Anthony and David Petrovich. My parents sent me up there to get her. Anthony was in and out of the pool, having a great time with a bunch of his friends and the song came over the speaker. Big girls don't cry. It was about that time that Anthony pushed me into the pool lol. I started to cry when that song came on. I'll never forget that what was done was done. We all started to laugh and from that point on he labeled that song as mine. I will truly miss him. Very nice man. The girls do cry Anthony wishing your family the very best at this most difficult time.....💔

I 1st met Tony at the Fun & Fitness gym in Woodbridge. I was in awe of his athleticism, as most others were, but I also admired his sense of humor and friendly personality. Years later when he worked at the Woodbridge Appliance Connection, he greatly helped me with my kitchen renovation. We had a fun time laughing & reminiscing of some of the crazy memories of F&F and our youth. Many prayers for you Sharon, and especially your children and grandchildren.

Tony was very popular in high school. But, he used this popularity to unite everyone.

I was so sad to hear this news on the day of Tony's passing. I have many fond memories of him from our years at Fred Lynn Junior High and Woodbridge Senior High School, along with memories of Sharon as she was co-captain of our flag twirlers team in the marching band. Tony was a close friend of my late brother, Steve, as well. I am sure they are catching up now in heaven. I truly missed you both at our Class of 1975 50-Year Reunion, but understood when you could not attend. So many memories... I send my heartfelt condolences and many prayers for comfort for you, Sharon, and your children and entire family.

Sorry for the loss of a good man. I knew Anthony from high-school and Fun and Fitness health spa I am younger than him. I would workout and weightlifting with him and others like Steve Hayhurst at Fun and Fitness spa. May God Bless and watch over his family.

Oh my this is so sad to hear this. I loved Anthony and we had so much fun back in the day. He was the strongest person I knew in Woodbridge and would help anyone in need. We played little League football together in 7th grade. My friend you left a great mark on this earth. Job well done.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I consider it a blessing to have been able to coach with him in PWCSA FOOTBALL and having his son Chris on the team. He was a good man and will be missed. My deepest sympathies and prayers for the family.
