Our beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend exchanged life on Earth for one of eternal life and peace on December 26, 2023.
Carl Raeford Ritter, lovingly called βCarl Raeβ by his family, was the son of Carl Wilson Ingram and Annie Thelma Ingram, who preceded him in death. He was born on September 9, 1954 in Wadesboro, NC. Carl Rae was raised by the Ritter family matriarch, Arzzie Lee Ritter, who also preceded him in death, alongside his sister, Vera Ritter and special cousins, Christine Woodburn and Sylvester Ritter.
Carl Rae confessed Christ at an early age at Gatewood Station A.M.E. Zion Church, Morven, NC.
Carl Rae was a 1972 graduate of Bowman Senior High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a proud veteran. He later received certificates from ITT Tech and the University of Phoenix for Information Technology.
Carl Rae leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Carl Demond Ritter (Tina), Corey Ritter (Kimberly) and Jeffery Boggan; sisters, Vera Ritter, Christine Woodburn (Jarvis), Vera Ledbetter, and Billie Ingram. He leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one aunt, Bertha Ritter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Carl Rae leaves fond memories of being a socialite and DIE-HARD Dallas Cowboys fan. His talkative spirit and charisma will truly be missed.

My prayers are with the Ritter family during this time of grief. Although I haven't seen Carl Rae in a number of years. I remember the good times we shared growing up together while going to church together at Gatewood station , hanging out at Earls pool room and working in tobacco together during the summer at Mr. Lee Rattliff farm.
