MR. CHARLES COX, age 82, of Wadesboro, North Carolina peacefully and quietly departed this life on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Hospice of Union County, Monroe, North Carolina.
The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, August 29, 2026, 12:00 noon, at Centenary AME Zion Church, 10150 US-74, Lilesville, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the family plot of the Church Cemetery.
The Cox Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 11:30am-12:00pm at Centenary AME Zion Church and at all other times at the family residence on Brown Creek Church Road, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
The public viewing will be on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 12:00-5:00pm at Smith's Funeral Home.
