On February 14, 2025, Charlie B’s life here on earth ended in order for him to gain his wings.
Charlie B was born August 28, 1954 in Stanly County, NC to the late Jimmie and Anna Turner Richardson.
Charlie attended Lake View Elementary School until the school closed and he then went to South Stanly High School where he was a graduate of the Class of 1972. Charlie was a faithful member of Cottonville AME Zion Church, Norwood, NC. He served as Chairman of the Trustee Board, Class Leader, Steward Board, Lay Council, Camp meeting and Beautification Committees, Gospel Choir, and Cottonville Male Choir.
Charlie had a strong work ethic that followed him through the years. He started at Wiscassett Mills then moved to Albemarle Spinning Mills where he was a fixer. He retired from Preformed Line Products after over Twenty years.
Charlie loved to spend time with family and friends. Charlie loved hunting, fishing, singing and riding his motorcycle with the Black Eagles Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed the mountains and our yearly trip to the Beach. No matter where he went, he never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, Charlie B was preceded in death by his brothers, Izell and Jimmie Richardson; sisters, Virginia Richardson, Heather Holt, Avon Richardson and Cassandra Allen.
Charlie B Richardson leaves to cherish his memories wife, Kathy Richardson who has loved and respected him for over forty-six years. Two children, Shawanna (Shawn) Randleman and Laquavien Holt of Greensboro, NC. Two godchildren, Candance Biles-Lee and Quinlan Sturdivant. Four grandchildren: Tyshawn Randleman, Tavion Randleman, Zaire Holt and TaTyana Randleman.
Sisters: Pauline Grice, Linda Davis, Betty Sturdivant, Brenda Richardson and Sylvia (Keith) Murphy. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Alberta Richardson, Willie Allen, Gaila Gueye, Jimmy Gaines, Robbin Gaines, Sylvia (Bernard) Biles, Carolyn Gaines, Dr. Monica Lee, Augusta Lilly, Daphne Hough, Sandra Ledbetter, Brenda (Titus) James-Stanback, Keith (Cindy) Taylor, Robert Taylor, Terry Taylor, Sharon Davis, Fevelyn (Rosevelt) Garmon, Vanessa (Marvin) Spencer, Kevin Davis and Andrice (Doraneal Lilly). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, February 23, 2025, 3:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow the service at Cottonville AME Zion Church Cemetery, Norwood, North Carolina.
The Richardson Family will greet family and friends on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 2:30-3:00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel.
The public viewing will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 1:00-5:00pm.
