Mr. Don Edward Medley, the son of the late Snow and Juanita Medley, was born January 10, 1962 in Anson County. He departed this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2023.
Don attended Anson County Schools and accepted Christ at a young age at Red Hill Baptist Church.
He was married to the late Jennie Bea Little Medley for 34 years.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Lonzo Morris Medley, Larry Donnell Medley, Snow Thomas Medley III, Pastor Bertha Medley, and Juanita M. Medley.
He is survived by a special niece whom he loved like a daughter, Denisha Little and her daughter, Audrey of Clemmons, NC; four sisters, Clara Thomas (Larry) of Wadesboro, NC; Vera Smith (Eric) of Wadesboro, NC; Cender Gore (Daniel) of Lilesville, NC; and Sandra Spencer (Rickey) of Wadesboro, NC; one brother, Samuel Medley of Wadesboro, NC; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Little of Lilesville, NC and Lizzie Little-Crouch (Hubert) of Lilesville, NC; two brothers-in-law, Lee Little (Sharon) of Lilesville, NC and Thomas Little (Melita) of Charlotte, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and among his many friends was a special group of friends who he socialized with at Whitβs in Lilesville, NC.
The Homegoing Services will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, 11:00am, West Deep Creek Baptist Church, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the West Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The public viewing will be on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 3:30-5:30pm at Smith's Funeral Home.
