Our South Florida Market was truly honored to get to know Hubert during his visits to Florida. His quick wit, warm humor, and brilliant smile left a lasting impression on all of us. Whether discussing sports, the economy, or just sharing a casual conversation, Hubert was always completely genuine—open and honest, yet remarkably humble and compassionate. We will always fondly remember how you knew he was about to drop some facts into the conversation: he'd lower his head and look right at you over the top of his glasses.

We also loved hosting the "Bay Boys and one more" whenever Hubert, Mike, and Rico came down to visit Daryl. Their company was a pleasure, and we deeply respected the character and class these gentlemen always displayed.

Above all, Hubert made it known to everyone how incredibly proud he was of Daryl's growth, maturity, and the man he has become. He will be deeply missed.

Many of us knew Hubert since the time he started with the airline. He was always very positive person and a joy to be around. I was under the impression that he was recovering from cancer. It was a bolt out of the blue when I heard that he passed away. Our condolences to the family.

I remember how awesome Hubert was when I started with AA as an orange vest. Treated us all with respect and as family from Day 1. Great smile and spirit. He is missed.

Hubert touched so many at work, with me and like so many of us...he would call us "young man". He had a deep and profound love for family, when I would see him I always showed him how big my kids were, his smile afterwards was a testament that reflected to me and made me be a better father. His positiveness at work was very bright, having him on the same team would make work 1000 times easier. Hard working, reliable and dependable worker. I will always remember all of those mini conversations we had, they were always good. miss ya bud, RIP my friend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Hubert through his brother, Daryl, whom I work with. Hubert greeted me with a firm handshake and a "Hello, young man." In that moment, I immediately saw where Daryl got his manners and deep respect for others.

On several occasions, I had the opportunity to share lunch with Hubert when he was in town visiting Daryl. When those two were together, it was nothing but laughter. Hubert shared his spiritual wisdom, his political views, and his vast knowledge of investing. I'll never forget when Daryl told me that Hubert was a Republican — and Hubert proudly confirmed it, saying he was a "card‑carrying, proud‑to‑my‑heart Republican."

Hubert loved Daryl, and I know Daryl loved Hubert. Whenever Hubert was coming to visit, Daryl would have a smile on his face and would always say, "Hubert will be here."

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire McClendon family during this difficult time.

My husband and I work with Hubert. Everyday he always made it a point to say good morning and ask us how we were doing, no matter what.

He always joked with my husband (usually something sports related) and talked to me fondly about Chandler.

This wasn't isolated to us, he was always so caring and asking everyone how they were doing. I can hear him now saying "Young Man" We will miss him.
