Obituary For Mr. Johnathan L. Buchanon
Mr. Johnathan Lamar Buchanon, Sr. was born February 21, 1991 and he departed his earthly home on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Johnathan is the son of Priscilla and Sylvester McLendon.
He attended Anson County public schools and graduated from Anson High School in 2009. Johnathan attended Indiana Technical College and graduated as a mechanic. He received his CDL’s and began a career in driving trucks.
He has been employed with Valley Protein, Wadesboro, NC; Edwards Wood Products, Marshville, NC; and MPS Logistics LLC, Pageland, SC. Johnathan was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. His employers knew when he arrived to work because they heard his music before they saw him.
Johnathan leaves to cherish his memories, his two daughters, London and Jacelynn Maske; son, Johnathan L. Buchanon, Jr.; parents, Priscilla and Sylvester McLendon, Peachland, NC; siblings: Adrienne Little, Cedric (Alicia) Buchanon, Dorcas McLendon, and Bernard McLendon. His nieces and nephews: Ariel, Traivon, Lauren, Ashton, and Marlee. His aunts and uncles: Kennie (Julia) Buchanon, James, Ricky, Lenora (Orlando) Diaz, Sarah McLendon, Willie McLendon, Randy Polk, Jessie McLendon, Michael McLendon, and Delores McLendon. He also leaves his cousins, his special brothers - Ricky, Tay, Cottrel, Tim, and Joc; a special friend, AJ Waszkiewicz; and a host of friends.
Johnathan’s love of customizing cars “Sprite”, attending car shows, and riding motorcycles, will leave loving memories in our hearts. Johnathan lived his life to the fullest and his smile will be missed forever.
The Homegoing Services will be on Friday, August 4, 2023, 2:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be at Westview Memorial Park.
The McLendon and Buchanon Families will greet family and friends on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 1:30-2:00pm and at all other times at the home of his parents, Sylvester and Priscilla McLendon, Peachland, NC.
There will be no public viewing.

I meet Johnthan through my daughter 3 years ago he was a nice respectful young man and through those years he never changed . My memory of Johnathan of a little boy when me and father Sylvester aka Vest would be out side working on cars and Johnathan would always want to help but he was to young at time and Vest didn't want him getting hurt so he would send him back in the house with Pricilla . Me and Vest had love cars rod motorcycle together and see that Johnathan grew up following his father's footsteps and having love cars and motorcycles!
