Mr. Larry Shelton Barringer was born April 19, 1953, to Lonzie Barringer and Aleane Barringer. He peacefully departed his life on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at Ambassador Health & Rehab in Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Trish) Barringer, his parents Lonzie & Aleane Barringer, his siblings Leroy Lindsey, Lester “Duke” Barringer, Ernest Barringer, and Doletha Clark.
Larry was a graduate of Bowman High School Class of 1971.
Larry worked for many years at Anson County Community Hospital, as well as many years for Alan 1 Stop Auto Shop in Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Larry also was a well-known pool player around town and loved by many.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory his children, Torrey Burch, Kevin Barringer (Talea Barringer daughter-in-law), and Larry Barringer Jr. Five grandchildren, Tyrianna, Talea, Tierra, Kevin Jr. and Dominque; one great-grandchild, Leilani. His siblings, Hubert Barringer, Doris Martin (John brother-in-law), Iris Ingram (Levander brother-in-law), and Henrietta Barringer (sister-in-law). One uncle, John Little, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones.
The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, June 1, 2025, 2:00pm, Garris Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow at Westview Memorial Park, Polkton, North Carolina.
The Barringer Family will greet family and friends on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 1:30-2:00pm at Garris Grove Missionary Baptist Church and at all other times at the residence of Iris and Levander Ingram (sister and brother-in-law), Anson High School Road, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
The public viewing will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 2:30-5:30pm at Smith's Funeral Home.
