Obituary For Mr. Marcus Jamal Caple
Marcus Jamal Caple was born November 5, 1992, in Troy, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Montgomery Memorial Hospital.
Marcus attended Mt. Airy A.M.E. Zion Church with his grandmother, Bernice Caple as a young child. He attended Montgomery County schools and graduated from Montgomery Learning Academy in 2011. Marcus was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Bernice Caple; and his paternal grandparents, Lillie Ruth McBride Calloway and Harold McDonald; great-grandmother, Chero Little; one brother Antonio Lilly; two aunts Wanda Little, and Elaine Little; three uncles Bernard Caple, Charlie Caple Jr, and James Thomas; and one great-uncle Gregory Little.
He leaves to cherish his previous memories, his mother, DeAngela Caple, and father Anthony Calloway; four sisters, Tiana Caple of Asheboro, NC, Shatara Caple of Mt. Gilead, NC, Angela Caple of Decatur, GA, and Latoya Lilly of Kannapolis, NC; one brother, Mitchell Lilly of Mt. Gilead, NC; seven nieces, Ka’Lynn Caple, Bailey Caple of Mt. Gilead, NC, Kebriana McLaughlin, Tatyana Watkins of Kannapolis, NC, Tyriana Lilly, Ladana Little, and Shanasha Lilly; four nephews, Tyrell Baldwin of Troy, NC, Khalil Watkins, Kevin Watkins, Salahdean Peets all of Mt. Gilead, NC, and Tykerius Little; five aunts, Lasaundra McDonald of Randleman, NC; Lois Dumas and Barbara Pemberton of Mt. Gilead, NC; Lisa Calloway of Richmond County; Patricia Young of Troy, NC; six uncles, Adrian (Kisha) Caple of Decatur, GA, Shawan McDonald of Chicago, Illinois, Bernie Hill of Greensboro, NC; Ray Collins of Candor, NC; Patrick Calloway and Tommy Calloway of Mt. Gilead, NC; three great aunts, Dale (David) Watkins, and Beulah Christian of Mt. Gilead, NC and Melinda McGuine of Charlotte, NC; two special cousins Tralvis Shaw (TJ) and Dekota Leake, and a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones.
The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 4:30pm, Mt. Airy AME Zion Church, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Church Cemetery.
The public viewing will be on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 3:30-5:30pm at Smith Funeral Home.
