Obituary For Mr. Robert Eugene Lowery

On the early morning of Thursday, February 10, 2022, God sent for one of his faithful servants to blossom in his garden.

As we remember Robert Eugene Lowery, we give thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his 49 years of life with us. He was well loved by his family and friends.

Robert “Rob” Eugene Lowery was born on October 2, 1972 to the late Robert L. Lowery and Rose E. Buchanon Lowery in Wadesboro, North Carolina. Robert was a warrior; he fought a good fight and he maintained his faith as he completed his journey here on Earth.

Robert attended the public schools of Anson County and he graduated from Anson Senior High School in 1990. He was gainfully employed at Premier Fibers in Ansonville, NC until his health began to fail.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age. He was united in holy matrimony with his beautiful wife, Katrina Bradley Lowery on November 3, 2014. They were together a total of 19 years. Together they blended their families for a total of 10 children.

“Rob”, as his friends called him, had a very enthusiastic and optimistic personality. He had a way of always reminding you of the bigger picture and he was quite the comedian. He loved exotic and fast cars, as well as Marvel and DC Comics. We shall never forget that he was a die-hard fan of Duke University and the Dallas Cowboys. Robert prided himself on being a dedicated husband, father and friend. He treated everyone like they were family.

Waiting at the Heavenly gates to welcome Robert to his eternal home are his parents, Robert and Rosa Lowery, 2 children, Qua’nesa M. Lowery and Legacie D. Lowery, 1 grandson, Zaylan Lowery; grandparents, Eugene and Edith Buchanon, James Thomas McCoy and Harriet Lowery. He is also preceded in death by 5 uncles and 3 aunts.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife, Katrina Bradley Lowery; children, Safahari A. Byrd, Jazmyne S. Byrd, Ry’Kael E. Lowery and Karizma Lowery of the home in Morven, NC, Ashley L. Lowery and Quentin M. Lowery of Wadesboro, NC, Aiyanna M. Lowery of Marietta, GA; Ju’Quaveon N. Lowery of Polkton, NC, Shamyria N. Lowery and Robert E. Lowery Jr. of Morven, NC. Three brothers, Michael Lowery (Shelly) of Morven, NC, John Lowery (Shada) of Lilesville, NC and Kevin Jackson (Keisha) of Wadesboro, NC. Thirteen grandchildren. Father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Peggy Byrd of Charlotte, NC, Dwight Wall of Norwood, NC. Two sisters-in-law, Kanestra Wall (Antonio) of Lilesville, NC and Chantell Parsons (Corinthian) of Buford, GA. One brother-in-law, Antwan Lilly (Johni) of Albemarle, NC. He also leaves to cherish his memories, six aunts, Gloria Archie of Winston-Salem, NC, Brenda Sturdivant (Jerry) of Morven, NC, Pauline Presley (Alex) of High Point, NC, Ann Smith of Wadesboro, NC, Karen (Danny) of Winston-Salem, NC and Farnice Lindsey (Ronnie) of Morven, NC; five uncles, Rev. Fred T. Dunlap, Russell Pearson of Sanford, NC and Horace Buchanon (Joanne) of Lilesviile, NC, Walter McCoy of Morven, NC and James Thomas McCoy of Charlotte, NC. Robert had 1 honorary grandmother, Martha Byrd and four honorary siblings, Tabitha Little (Tony), Eugene Moore (Regina), Robert Moore (Donna) and Shawn Simms (Letitia). Robert also had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, February 19, 2022, 11:00am, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be at the Flat Rock 52 Cemetery, Morven, North Carolina.

The Lowery Family will greet family and friends on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 10:30-11:00am and at all other times at the family residence.
