On Thursday, February 5, 2026, Walter Jr. Little passed away at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, North Carolina surrounded by his beloved family. He gave his life to Christ during his stay at Atrium Health.
Walter was born Mary 29, 1955 in the Gulledge Township, Anson County, North Carolina to the late Walter Thomas Little and the late Shirley Hardison Little. One brother, Frank Little preceded him in death.
Walter was united in Holy Matrimony to Hattie Ruth Little. To their union of 50 years, four daughters were born: Tabatha (Swede) Williams of Baltimore, Maryland, Samantha (Bernard) Joyner of Cheraw, South Carolina, Latoya Little of Rockingham, North Carolina and Monica (Billy) Gunter of Rockingham, North Carolina. They also love as a son, Kevon Pemberton of the home.
Walter was a hardworking husband and father who provided for his family.
He worked in logging as a Skittle Operator alongside his father at the age of 16 and brother briefly. He retired from logging.
In addition to his wife and children, Walter is survived by his siblings: Gloria Jean (James) Forte of Wadesboro, North Carolin, Barbara Ann (Frankie) Tillman of Wadesboro, North Carolina, George W. Little (Maria) of Wadesboro, North Carolina and Shirley Renee (Johnny) Campbell of Cheraw, South Carolina.
He leaves to cherish a host of grandchildren and great grand children who loved him dearly, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Monday, February 16, 2026, 11:00am, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Westview Memorial Park, 4136 US-74, Polkton, North Carolina.
