Mr. Willie “Boo Boo” Jones

"Boo Boo Jones" as I always acknowledged him, was like a brother to me during my tenure at Smith's. Boo Boo was like a son to his neighbor's educators Miss Lucile Crump and Ms. Annie McLendon Robinson, he was their all and all. Boo Boo would always ensure that their homes were secured at night especially Miss Crump who was bedridden. You would find him manicuring their lawns during the spring and summer months. Boo Boo would always ensure, our son Thomas would return back home safely when he would sneak out of our home to hang out at Smith's. Willie Jones, you will always have a special place in our hearts. Until we meet again, rest my dear brother for you have been faithful here on earth. God has a crown waiting for you in heaven. Lord, I am so heartbroken. Boo Boo lived across the hall from my mom at Anson Health and Rehabilitation. He was so loving and so kind towards her and even took on the role of her protector. He made sure she had plenty of snacks and that the CNAs knew when mama needed assistance. I looked forward to talking to him every day, he was always positive and upbeat. I also loved seeing him looking sharp in his red sneakers. I know that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. I am so glad he is now in the arms of our loving God.
