On Friday, November 25, 2022, Mrs. Ernestine Adams Horne passed away peacefully at Wadesboro Health and Rehabilitation, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Ernestine was born February 22, 1950 in Robinson County, North Carolina to the late Ernest James Adams and the late Annie Mae Ruth Adams. Two brothers, James Thomas and Willie Lee Adams preceded her in death.
Ernestine was united in Holy Matrimony to Fred Horne who preceded her in death. One daughter, Wilhelmena Adams also precedes her in death.
Ernestine attended the public schools of Anson County. She was a homemaker. Ernestine confessed Christ at an early age and attended Pee Dee Baptist Church, Lilesville, North Carolina where she served and enjoyed working in the kitchen.
Ernestine enjoyed cooking and shopping (Boy…did she LOVE shopping!). She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ernestine was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Ernestine leaves to cherish her memory one son, Keith Horne of Virginia; one daughter, Leslie Adams of the home; a host of loving grandchildren; three sisters, Hattie (Jake) Little, Sarah Lee and Maebell Tyson; four brothers, Richard, George, Robert Charles and Junius Adams. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, December 4, 2022, 2:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in Westview Memorial Park, Highway 74-West, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
The family will greet family and friends on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:30-2:00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel.
The public viewing will be on Saturday, December 3rd from 3-5pm at Smith’s Funeral Home.
