MRS. MARION PATRICIA LEGRANDE MILLER, transitioned from labor of this life to eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. Born on March 13, 1957, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie W. and Mattie R. LeGrande. Marion lived a life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and those around her.
Marion began her career working for many years in the Hosiery Mills, where her strong work ethic and determination were evident to all who knew her. Later, she pursued her passion for helping others by obtaining her Certified Nursing Assistant license and serving in the home health field. She provided compassionate care to those in need until her health no longer allowed her to continue. When she retired, Marion fully embraced her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, pouring her love and energy into her family, who were her greatest joy.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Willie W. LeGrande and Mattie R. LeGrande; her sister, Vickie D. LeGrade; and her brothers, Johnnie LeGrande and Robert C. LeGrande.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her devoted husband of 49 years, George Miller, of the home; her two children, Andre (Karla) Miller of Butner, NC and Crystal (Gary) Tillman of Rockingham, NC; her five beloved grandchildren, Jamarius Miller, Gary Tillman Jr., Sanajia Tillman, Cameron Miller and Sagel Bowens; her three precious great-grandchildren, Junie Miller, Jonti Miller and Judah Miller.
Marion is survived by her sister, Annie Steele of Hamlet, NC; her brothers, Ray LeGrande of Concord, NC, Willie (Wanda) LeGrande of Knoxville, TN, Donnie (Pamela) LeGrande of Butner, NC and Lonnie and Eddie LeGrande of Mt. Gilead, NC. She leaves behind a host of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, loved ones, and three beloved aunts.
Marion's life was a testament to love, faith, and service. Her warmth and gentle spirit touched everyone she met, and her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
age 67, of Mount Gilead, North Carolina peacefully departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, North Carolina with her loving and devoted family at her side.
The Homegoing Services will be on Thursday, January 30, 2025, 1:00pm, Mt. Airy AME Zion Church, Mount Gilead, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Church Cemetery.
