I am so sorry to hear about Ms. Sarah passing. She was a wonderful lady to know and always had a smile to share. I remember her working at the Wadesboro Nursing Home with my mom and Ms. Leak when I was a small child. She is going to be missed deeply by her family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To the Harrington and Smith Family,
We extend our heartfelt prayers, love, and deepest condolences on the passing of Mrs. Sarah Smith Harrington.
Mrs. Harrington was a cherished and dear friend of our late mother, Mrs. Pecolia Dixon Leak of the Pee Dee Community of Lilesville, North Carolina. For more than thirty years, they worked side by side at Heritage Hill Nursing Home (formerly Wadesboro Nursing Home), faithfully serving residents and their families. While our mother ministered through her work as a Licensed Practical Nurse, providing compassionate medical care, Mrs. Harrington ministered through her gifts in the kitchen, nourishing both the bodies and spirits of those she served. Together, they embodied a ministry of love, dignity, and compassion that touched countless lives.
Mrs. Harrington will always be remembered as a warm, kind, gracious, and loving woman whose presence brought comfort and joy to others. She was a devoted mother, faithful friend, dedicated worker, and committed servant of God. She, along with our mother, represented a generation of strong African American women who worked tirelessly to care for their families, support their communities, and faithfully serve the Lord through both their words and their actions.
Her life leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, perseverance, and love. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, church family at Thomas Chapel AME Zion Church, and the many lives she touched throughout the years.
As you grieve this earthly loss, may you find strength in the promises of God and comfort in the treasured memories you shared with her. We pray that the Lord will surround you with His peace, sustain you with His grace, and uphold you with His everlasting love in the days ahead.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
With our love, prayers, and sympathy,
