Ms. Angela Mechell Colson was born March 17, 1968 in Wadesboro, NC to the late Mr. James Adam “Mac” Colson and Mrs. Bertha Lee Lindsey Colson. In the early morning hour of November 14, 2025 at Atrium Health Pineville Hospital, Pineville, NC, Angela answered the Master’s Call and quietly took her eternal rest.
Angela, lovingly known as “Angie B.” gave her life to Christ at an early age. She attended the public schools of Anson County.
Growing up, Angie loved being with her Aunt Barbara Jean and her children. She loved to dance and R&B was her source of joy. Angie was lots of fun to be around and she loved her family.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, James Adam “Mac” Colson; two sisters, Barbara Ann Colson Little and Mary Louise Colson; two brothers, James Arthur Colson and Lee Otis Lindsey; and one niece, Alisha Michelle Little.
Angela Mechill is survived by her loving children, Kendrick Colson of Wadesboro, NC, Sada Thomas of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Jamal Hailey of Wadesboro, NC; her mother, Mrs. Bertha Lee Lindsey Colson of Wadesboro, NC; four grandchildren, Qualyin Speller, Emmanuel Blake, Emarius Blake and Ka’Nija Colson; three brothers, Vernon Lindsey of Winston Salem, NC, Edward Colson of Wadesboro, NC and James Alexander Colson of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews; special cousins, Linda Colson, Laura Crowder, Carol Leak and Evelyn McLaughlin; a special friend, Michael White and a host of cousins, relatives and many friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, November 22, 2025, 2:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Angie b. Angie, I loved her. She always would put a smile on your face. Every time she saw me, she represent loud and proud. I will miss seeing her at the store.. love you, rest in peace.
