On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, God dispatched his angels to escort Clarissa Ann Ratliff home. The loving daughter of the late George O. Ratliff and Pauline Willoughby Ratliff was born on November 25, 1984 in Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Clarissa attended the public schools of Anson County.
She confessed Jesus Christ as her Savior and sincerely sought to serve him with all of her heart. She attended Gatewood Station A.M.E. Zion Church in Morven, North Carolina.
Her vibrant personality was contagious, lighting up the lives of everyone around her. Clarissa, lovingly known as Reece Cupβ, made deep and meaningful relationships, surrounded by friends who cherished her warmth and kindness. With a heart of gold, she embodied compassion and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand of a listening ear.
In addition to her father, George O. Ratliff she was preceded in death by aunts, Bertha Mae Willoughby and Elma K. Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Dequrius Ratliff, Sebastian Ratliff and Jemey Collins; her mother, Pauline Willoughby Ratliff; brother, Bobby Liles; sisters, Doris Willoughby (Fred), Latrice Ratliff (Jason) and Mariah Kirby; special nephew, Hakeem (Man) Willoughby; uncles, Artis Willoughby (Mary), Oscar Willoughby (Linda) and Thomas Willoughby; aunts, Ruby J. Willoughby, Winnie Williams, Berthia Mae McLendon and Trudy Mae Willoughby; a special friend, Jazzmain Streater. A host of cousins, relatives and many friends.
Her loving spirit and laughter will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain an inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The Homegoing Services will be on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, 2:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the family plot at Gatewood Station AME Zion Church Cemetery, Morven, North Carolina.
