Tracey Lorraine Cherry, beloved daughter of Jay and Brenda Cherry, was born in Cumberland County, North Carolina on October 23, 1968. She peacefully departed this life on June 3, 2026, at Atrium Health Anson Hospital in Wadesboro, NC.
A proud graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Tracey dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker.
Her warmth and kindness were evident in every interaction; she had a beautiful smile that could light up any room. Known as the life of the party, she brought joy and laughter to gatherings, making every moment memorable.
Tracey was preceded in death by a son, Jamal Cherry.
She is survived by her son, Marcus McClary; her beloved grandchildren, Marcus McClary Jr., Aniyal McClary, and Akilah McClary; her siblings: Boosie, Pauline, Stephanie, Quran and Carin; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memories.
Tracey was a true queen in every sense of the word, and her light will forever shine in our lives. May she rest in peace, wrapped in the love she so freely gave to others.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the Life and Legacy of Ms. Cherry was held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 12:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
