Arlene Peterson Echols of Clearwater Transitioned Wednesday September 23, 2026 at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center Mid Pinellas, Pinellas Park.

A native of Reddick, FL and moved to Clearwater, FL from Belle Glade, FL some 60 years ago.

Arlene was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Clearwater. Her husband Donald Echols in 2005, her parents James and Essie Hurst, siblings Queen Victoria Hodge, Arnetta Hurst and Johnny Hurst all whom preceded her in death.

Arlene careers was a Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) and Kitchen Supervisor with Oak Bluff Retirement Center.

She was Honored and presented The Pinellas Adult & Vocational Educational Most Outstanding GED Student Award.

Cherishing and Loving Memories she leaves her children Richard Peterson and wife Janet, Elnita Thacker, Kimble Peterson and wife Patricia and Brenda Peterson; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; her siblings Vicky Rayner, Delores Hurst, Robert Hurst; brother-in-law Edward Hodge; adopted brother Charles Tinsley (aka BoJack) and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousin other relatives and friends.
