On February 6, 1948, Betty Louise Speights was born as the sixth child of Deacon Robert and Missionary Lola McIntyre Speights in Panama City, Florida.
When I was a child…I Corinthians 13:11
As a young girl, Betty attended Oscar Patterson Elementary and Rosenwald High School in Panama City, Florida.
Present your body a living sacrifice…Romans 12:1
At an early age, Betty made Jesus Christ her choice at Potter’s Temple First Born Church of The Living God, Panama City, FL, under the leadership of Elder E. D. Dixon.
Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it…. Proverb 22:6
Betty was the delighted mother of five children Apostle Michael D. Long, Keith Long, Pastor Carlos D. Speights, Darius Wilson, Sr., and LaRhonda Cameron-Harris, (who preceded her in death.)
And labour, working with our own hands; being reviled, we bless…I Corinthians 4:12
Betty worked as a self-employed Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, as a homemaker, and in the healthcare field.

Betty faithfully served the God she loved. After relocating to St. Petersburg, she served under the leadership of her son, Apostle Michael D. Long, Sr., at Life Changing Ministries of the World from 1992 until 2000. In 2000, she moved back to Panama City, FL, where she served under the leadership of her brother-in-law, Apostle Billy Joe Davis, Jr., at Shekinah Glory Powerhouse until 2005. She then returned to St. Petersburg and later, in 2008, relocated to Jacksonville, FL, where she united with Bridegroom Apostolic Church, Inc., under the leadership of Bishop Arden L. Luster. There, she served faithfully from 2008 to 2021. Upon relocating to Georgia to live with her son, she returned to the fellowship of the newly reestablished Life Changing Ministries of the World, now known as Voice of Seventh Flame Kingdom Government Churches Worldwide, Inc., once again under the leadership of her son, Apostle Michael D. Long, Sr., in Fayetteville, Georgia.
I am ready to go, as my time has come. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day…. II Timothy 4:6-8
On Sunday, July 20, 2025, Betty, entered unto Eternal rest at Piedmont Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Preceding Mother Betty Speights in death were her father, Robert L. Speights, her mother, Lola McIntyre Speights, her daughter, LaRhonda Camerson-Harris, her granddaughter, Octavia Burney, her siblings: Andrew Speights, Willie James Speights, and Cora Speights-Ford.
Left to cherish her life and legacy:
Four sons: Apostle Michael D. Long (Everlyn), Fayetteville, GA; Keith Long, Cross City, FL; Pastor Carlos Speights (LaTresha), Oxnard, CA; and Darius Wilson, Sr., Oxnard, CA
Five grandsons: Michael Long, Jr. (Charity); Emmanuel Long (Polly); Micah Long; Darius Wilson, Jr.; and Marco Wilson
Eight granddaughters: Dominique Speights, Michelle Long, Micaiah Long, Amber Warren, Temesha Speights, Ashley Warren, Aniya Warren and Sharshika
Nine great-grandchildren: Zion Speights, Keniyah Hansberry, Elijah Hansberry, Gabrielle Long, Janelle Graves, Jha'Siha Quarterman, Jayceon Speights, Jy'Air Walker, Ji'Yanni Walker
Two brothers: Cmdr. Ret. Richard Speights, Ft. Mill, SC; and Carl Speights, San Antonio, TX
Five sisters: Robbie Jean Peoples (Fred), Virginia Beach, VA; Lois Dianne Speights, St. Petersburg, FL; Ophelia Speights Ballard, Tampa, FL; Minister Mae Speights McRae, St. Petersburg, FL; and Elder Cheryln Davis (Apostle Billy Joe Davis, Jr.), Panama City, FL
Three aunts: Lula McIntyre, Tampa, FL; Aronia McIntyre, Jacksonville, FL; and Clytie McIntyre, Jacksonville, FL
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
