Very quietly and peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021, around 3:00 p.m., while a patient at Suncoast Hospice, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom, power and perfection having determined that His child and servant Cynthia Griggley-Kleckley had suffered enough reached down, gently closed her eyes and carried her home.
Cynthia was born to Mary Griggley and the late James Griggley, Sr. on June 1, 1948, in Donalsonville, Georgia. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church, Donalsonville Georgia. Cynthia graduated from Pinellas High School Class of 1968. She furthered her education in Business administration at the Atlanta School of Business, Atlanta Georgia. Cynthia entered the workforce working at Honeywell, then moved to Atlanta working in the insurance industry.
Upon relocating to Clearwater, Florida she worked with attorneys Richards, Gilkey, Fite, and Ward until her health failed her.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Griggley, Sr.,son, Terrence Griggley, Sr., grandson, Terrence Griggley, Jr.; brothers, Robert Griggley, Jimmy Griggley and James Griggley, Jr. and sister, Colois Wallace.
Cynthia leaves to mourn her passing…
Son: Derrick Griggley of Clearwater, Florida Mother: Mary Griggley of Clearwater, Florida Granddaughters: Kyla Griggley of Lakeland, Florida and Tyra Middlebrooks (Marcus) of Valdosta, Georgia
Grandson: Cameron Tisdale of South Dakota
Great-grandchildren: Yamira, Kamden, and Safiya
Sisters: Margaret Brown of Miami, Florida, Joy Burton(Greg) and Sandra Dudley, both of Clearwater, Florida
Brothers: Buford Griggley and Anthony Griggley, both of Clearwater, Florida
Aunts: Betty Mitchell of Sarasota, Florida, Alveita DeShazior of Miami, Florida and Janie Mae Harden of Sanford, Florida
She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
