Uncle Dave - I will miss your stories!! Losing you I feel like we lost such a big chunk of history in your memories. Thank you for taking us all fishing as kids. Thank you for always checking in on me when we would run into each other out of nowhere and making sure I was ok. Thank you for Always showing up! I have always been so proud to call you family and will miss you so very much! Love, Laila
You. Can always tell when a person lived a life of love when you see all of the smiles and tears and beautiful ppl that hes left Behind.
My dad was an awesome soul. As he would say- hes a cool cat. He was the true definition of a " man " they don't make them the way they made my dad .he was a Warrior who volunteered to fight for his country in Vietnam-he was a fighter-tough as nails and qs stubborn as they come !
He was fearless and brave and never afraid to speak his mind. But w all of that toughness- my dad was qlso very charming-a talented talented and kind and as sweet a man u would ever meet. He was a gentleman. He ! he had girls ! he would give you the shirt off of his back or the shoes off of his feet if he if it meant that he was keeping you safe and to make u feel happy. He would always open the car door for u or let u go first.
Dad u gave me such a rich childhood filled w adventures a childhood ill never ever forget. From u i got my wit- my will- my strength. My fearlessness my stubborness and my best asset - the ability to take on any task or job and master it!!!!
Ur lifelessons- ur famous military stories and and all the great memories we made together will live in all pf our hearts for!
U dont have to fight the fight anymore! The strong children and grandchildren u raised will continue that leagacy for u!!! Its time to rest and be a eternal peace. U deserve it.
I love u. Boo
I Remember in my teenage years when I first meet Dave he rung the doorbell. I answered the door Dave said is Patty Here? I gave him this evil look like who asking? He said Dave... he he never let me live that down...saying some white man at the door asking for you Patty....lol. you will truly be missed Rest in Peace Brother
Words cannot describe how great of a man my grandfather was. He helped raised my sister and I when we stayed there for summer for many years growing up. I will never forget how excited I would be crossing over the bridge heading to Clearwater. He made me fall in love with the beach, he taught me how to drive. One of my favorite memories of us was when he was helping me with my permit test. He would pull over in the neighborhood after getting food or groceries and let me drive to the house. I could call him about anything and he would always be there to pick up the phone and give me advice. Even though he was my grandfather, he definitely played a father role in my life. Even though he couldn't meet his first great granddaughter, I know he will be by her side as her guardian angel. Thank you for all that you and Grandma Pat has done for the family. Thank you for the honor of walking me down the aisle on my wedding day. Play the piano loud enough so we can hear. I love you!
Uncle Dave was truly a one of a kind. We all were blessed to have had such a caring, handsome, loyal, kind, generous, selfless man in our lives. For me my uncle was not only my Uncle but he was like a 2nd father to me when my father passed many years ago. He was always there for my mother for which I am grateful! To my Aunt Pat thank you for never saying NO when I needed him. There was NEVER a time uncle Dave didn't show up!!! I will forever be grateful for having such an amazing man I got to call my Uncle!! I know my mom, your marine buddy and brother Al, and your nephew will be taking care of you, so that brings me peace. Play a duet with my mom for me, like you 2 use to when we were all little. I will miss and Love you always, Moot (aka Mimi)
He was one of a kind. He is irreplaceable. My perfect sole mate xoxoxoxo RIP
