Mrs. Doris Collins Swinton was born July 14, 1936 in Jefforsonville, GA to the late Charles & Alma Collins. She attended public schools and at early age professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She worked at Honeywell for 23 years until she retired. She was also a school crossing guard. She attended Light House Church of Jesus where she sung in the choir. Doris made and sold "flip ups" to the kids in the neighborhood was also affectionately known as the "Flip Lady". Doris transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday September 19, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memories are her husband Willie Swinton. Sons Bruce Fowler, Stanley Parker, Ramonda Taylor, Stepsons Willie Swinton, Herbert Swinton, Raymond Swinton, & Stacey Swinton. Daughters Shirley Fowler, Andrea Taylor, & Stepdaughter Teresa Rainey. Brothers Willie Collins, Chip Collins, Eddie Collins, Tommy Collins, Leroy Collins, & Ray Sampson. Sister Clara Hill. Daughter in Laws Loretta Higgs, Cheryl Fowler, & Debbie Taylor. Brother in Laws Sam Swinton & John Swinton. Sister in Laws Doris Collins, Karla Collins, Rosa Collins, Jan Collins, Monica Collins, Annie Ruth Collins, Lula Collins, Betty Swinton, Mary Hamlet, & Ineatha Lowery. She also had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Viewing services to be held on Friday 09/25/2020 @ Smith-Young Funeral Home 1005 Howard St. Clearwater FL 33756 from 6PM-8PM.
