Ebony Patrice Young, lovingly known as Eb, was born July 24th, 1981 in Largo, Florida to Linda A. Williams and Lonnie C. Young. Eb attended Pinellas and Monroe Counties schools, receiving her high school diploma in 2002. She worked as a Traveling Certified Nursing Assistant. Eb enjoyed reading and watching documentaries, and was an avid animal lover. In her early years, she danced and performed with Dundu Dole Urban Ballet under the guidance of Jai Hinson. Eb was baptized when she was 5 years old at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Largo, Florida, and was of Christian faith. Eb shared her life’s experiences between living in Largo, Florida and Rochester, New York. She had a big personality, and loved those who she invited into her life without conditions. Eb was kind, and always told things as they were. She will always be remembered as someone who stayed true to herself, and kept it “100” to all of those whose lives she impacted. Eb transitioned from this life on July 4th, 2020. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Frazier and Minnie P. Williams, Reola Stephans, and Lonnie C. Young, Sr.; and her stepfather Lindell Carswell. Eb leaves to cherish her memories: One son, Dakimeon C. Young of Rochester, New York; both parents Linda A. Williams of Rochester, New York and Lonnie C. Young, Jr. of Largo, Florida; one sister, Aja Pittman of Largo, Florida; two brothers, McKinney Young of Largo, Florida, and Terrell Carswell of Rochester, New York; one niece and one nephew Zoey and Jace Pittman; uncles Lester Anderson, Adrian Young, Edward Harris (Lesley), Darrell Young (Voncell), George Young; aunts Kathryn Johnson, Edith Holton (Doug), Neval Drain (Eugene), Loretta Holloway (Vernon), Patsy Young, Earnestine Young; two sister-cousins, Shatoria Knighton (Raynard) and Kenetta Holloway. Eb also leaves behind many, many special cousins and friends. A memorial gathering/ viewing will be held on Thursday, July 16th, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Smith-Young Funeral Home Chapel. The Homegoing Celebration and Interment will be held in the Largo Municipal Cemetery on Friday, July 17th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
