Mr. Jimmy Pendleton was born to the late Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Jennie Pendleton on September 6, 1937, in Union Springs, Alabama.
Jimmy attended Bullock County Schools in Union Springs, Alabama. He accepted Christ at an early age and later joined St. John Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Elder Doug Walker.
Jimmy, affectionately known as “Big Jim,” became an entrepreneur and opened Big Jim’s BBQ LLC., in 1979; which is currently operated by his wife Yvette and son Reggie.
Jimmy departed this life on June 11, 2021, at Morton Plant Hospital.
Preceded in death are: Son: Jimmy Maurice Pendleton Parents: Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Jennie Pendleton Siblings: Ella Bell Washington, Clara Calloway, William Pendleton, Eddie Pendleton, James Pendleton, and Mary Frizzle.

Biological son: Reginald Pendleton
Bonus sons: Joshua Birnbaum, Henry Keiler, Curtis Glenn, Alan Walker, Lenorris Gordon, Felix Moultrie, Steve Kirkland, Demetrius Oliphant, and Maurice Bryant.
Four grandchildren: Rea’Jean Pendleton, Jamaria Johnson, Jymee Pendleton, and Marquvius Dixon Four great grandchildren: Eribella and Enzo Pendleton, Bradyn Ballestreos, and Mar’Laysha Dixon
