Kirtley Ivan Dorsette was born on December 12, 1964, in Nassau, Bahamas to Clarence and Barbara Dorsette. He was a devoted father, brother, and uncle. Well known and liked by everyone he encountered. Kirtley had a passion for helping others, trying to put others first with unwavering generosity. He was always giving advice to those he mentored. He was your “go to” person with a strong shoulder to cry on. He had an infectious sense of humor that could make you feel better when you were down. To his son Anthony, he was his best friend; there is no more powerful influence than a father on a son.
He loved his Bahamian heritage, which was reflected in his clothing and music. These were all seen on his Facebook page, where he often posted. “Kid” was a hard worker, working various jobs until his health declined.
On October 11, 2025, Kirtley Ivan Dorsette was called home to his eternal rest.
He leaves cherished memories to…his son, Anthony Dorsette of St. Petersburg, FL; mother, Barbara Dorsette of Nassau, Bahamas; brother, Kyle Dorsette of Nassau, Bahamas; sisters, Shana Fluker, Rochelle Johnson, Natasha Lampley, all of St. Petersburg, FL and Denise Davis of Miami, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, friends and other relatives who will miss him dearly.
