Larry Eugene Brooks was born on June 30, 1952, in Clearwater, Florida to Thomas J. Brooks and Maggie L. Smith.

Larry attended Dunedin High School and was employed with the City of Safety Harbor Public Works Department. He served in the United States Air Force. Larry was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Larry Eugene Brooks transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home on January 29, 2026, Clearwater, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Brooks, mother, Maggie L. Smith and grandmother, Minnie Foster.

He leaves to cherish his memories…his son: Anthony Brooks of Clearwater, FL; brother: Thomas J. Brooks, Jr. of Clearwater, FL; sisters: Elder Bambi Jones of Largo, FL and Yvonne Gaines of Clearwater, FL; three special nieces: Sheryl Campbell of Columbia, TN, Chandra Gaines and Charise White, both of Clearwater, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Service of Love to commemorate his life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 2751 Sunset Point Road | Clearwater, Florida 33759.
