Lorraine Michelle Brinson Redding was born on October 9, 1964, in Clearwater, Florida to the late Orvin Lewis and Roxieanne Brinson. She was raised in the Ridgecrest Community located in Largo, Florida.
Lorraine attended Pinellas County Schools and was a graduate of Largo High School. She had a passion for culinary arts and worked in food services for over 35 years. Lorraine was employed as a manager for 20 years at Ponderosa and worked for Morrison’s Cafeteria. She later became employed at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the head cook at “The Lord’s Kitchen” servicing her community and worked for the Pinellas County School Board in food services.
At a young age, she became a member of St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church and later moved her membership to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Willie D. McClendon, Jr., where she worked with the Kitchen Committee.
Lorraine was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Mr. Johnny Lee Redding, and they spent over 40 years together.
On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Lorraine transitioned into eternal life.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Nadine B. Shaw, Jennifer Manderson and Anita Brinson, brother, Tommy Lewis Brinson, maternal grandparents, Jessie and Thelma James, paternal grandparents, Orvin Lewis, Sr. and Mamie Brinson and father and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Rose Mae Redding.
She leaves to cherish her memories…
