Trevor DeRon Murray, affectionately known as “Trev,” was born on December 1, 1965, in Clearwater, Florida, to the late Willie “LeRoy” Murray and Marlene Howell Murray. On September 23, 2025, he entered eternal rest at Mease Hospital Dunedin.
Trevor was educated in the Pinellas County School System and went on to pursue studies in emergency medicine, becoming a highly skilled and respected firefighter/paramedic with the City of Clearwater. He faithfully served his community for more than 25 years until his retirement in 2021. Trevor was known as one of the finest paramedics Clearwater ever had, and he also shared his expertise as a CPR instructor, training countless healthcare professionals throughout Pinellas County.
Trevor accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Dunedin, Florida.
He enjoyed life to the fullest—earning his black belt in Tae Kwon Do, playing baseball as a catcher for Clearwater Little League and Babe Ruth Senior League, where he was selected for several All-Star teams. A true handyman, Trevor loved working on projects, visiting flea markets, and repurposing his unique finds. Music brought him joy, especially the songs of Prince, with “Purple Rain” being his favorite.
In November 1999, Trevor was united in marriage to Felicia DeVonne. Together they shared 25 years of love and devotion.
Trevor leaves to cherish his memory:
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie “LeRoy” Murray and Marlene Howell Murray, grandparents William and Marie Murray, Willie Howell and Mary Hooks Bunton, and his beloved pet, Ziggy Marley Murray
