Voncreaser Deveece Winston was born on November 18, 1962, in Clearwater, Florida to Louise Elizabeth Mickens and James Brown, Sr.
She was educated in the Pinellas County School System. Voncreaser was employed in the medical field for many years. She joined Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age where she was a lead singer in the Mass Choir under the leadership of her godfather Charles McCray.
Voncreaser was one of the original JB Keel Singers and was the lead singer of the Disciple Gospel Singers under the leadership of her mother. In addition to singing, she loved sewing, cooking, and caring for others.
Voncreaser Deveece Winston departed this life on Monday, January 8, 2024, at her residence in Clearwater, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Elizabeth Mickens, stepfather, Webster Mickens, father, James Brown, Sr., grandmothers, Catherine Bevels and Agnes Winston, sister-in-law, Valerie Winston and aunts, Mary Evans, Thelma Blackwell, Ruther Mae Lewis, and Bernice
Flanders.
She leaves cherished memories to:
