A resident of both Clearwater and Safety Harbor FL, Willie Lane was born April 20,1947, to the late Hilliard Sullen and Cora Lane in Hardaway, Alabama.
At the age of fifteen, Willie, along with his twin brother, Jimmy, was baptized at the Engman Street Church of Christ, in Clearwater FL. Willie was a devoted and faithful servant at the Booth Street Church of Christ located in Safety Harbor, FL. He always found what his hands could do to uplift and edify the works of the Lord.
Until Willie was called from labor to reward, he could be found teaching the New Convert class, speaking at the nursing home, serving on the Finance Committee and leading song service. Willie also preached from time to time, in the absence of the minister. He was dedicated to door knocking, telling others about Christ. Willie could also be found blowing debris from around the church grounds, while his twin brother drove the truck.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory…
