Mrs. Margarite Stokes James, 83, of St. Petersburg, FL/Omega, Ga. transitioned this life on Sunday at Saint Anthony Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.
Homegoing celebration services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Simmon Grove Baptist Church in Omega, Ga. located at 1574 Georgia Ave. with Committal Services to follow in Omega City Cemetery. The repast will conclude at the Church Social Hall.

My condolences go out to the family. My distinct memory of the four sisters and their unique relationship epitomizes what sisterhood was all about. Her calm demeanor in the midst of many storms was the voice of reason that you could depend on through any storm. As one of many matriarch in the Stokes family has left us, her legacy shall continue to bond the Stokes family for many generations to come. Margarite faithfully participated in the Bordeaux*Henry*Jones Family reunions. We loved to attend the Moss Family reunions,too. We especially remember the reunion in Gatlinburg, Tennessee near " Dollywood". RIP dear cousin.
