Mr. Eugene Russell Griffin of Miami,FL formally of Adel,Ga. funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:30 P.M. at Holy Community Church in Adel, GA. Mr. Eugene Russell Griffin, Sr. was born July 29, 1957 to the late Lonnie and Mattie Griffin of Adel, Ga. Known as Russell, he was educated in the Cook County School System and graduated with the Class of 1976. He later moved his life to Miami, FL where he worked and retired from Amtrak. He also started and ran his own landscaping business which he operated until his health failed and was called home on August 15, 2019. Russell leaves to cherish his fond memories to his two sons, Daryl Griffin and Eugene Jr. (Cierra) of Miami, FL; Eleven grandchildren, Alex’cia, Daryl Jr., Emmanuel, Dajia, D’naiya, Danielle, Destiny, Dar’rell, Khalid, Khamadi, and Khaman Griffin; Six sisters, Jimmy Lee of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Julia B. of Warner Robins, GA, Mattie Mae of Tampa, FL, Cloreta (Dennis ) of Hollwood, FL and Karen Griffin Galdamez (OC) of Miami, FL.; Two Brothers, Lonnie (Janie) and Harold (Joanne) both of Jacksonville, FL.; Two sisters-in-law, Carol Griffin of Adel, GA and Janie Griffin of Jacksonville, FL; Two Aunts, Lou Verina Jones and Gladys Gains of Sparks, GA; One Special Friend, Tina Wilson o f Miami, FL. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Russell was preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar, Bobby, Nathaniel, and David Lee.
