I'm still in awe. Terrence was such a laid back guy whom always checked on us when we came to visit my Black Women Networking Sisters. His wife Keisha one of the founders was blessed with one of the most loving patient and supportive husband that a woman could get. He loved his children with all his heart. We thank God for the time that he shared him with us. I know that God told him to rest and that he was a good a faithful servant!
Coach Pate , one of the coolest people I have ever come across. Never heard him speak bad about anything or anybody. The way he loved on his kids and his wife and was a man of faith was something to be admired.Coach you will truly be missed and I am grateful I had an opportunity to know you and call you my friend. To the family thank you for sharing him with the world, the world is a better place because of your kindness.
I never thought I would have to write this so soon. I want you to know that I loved you so much, and I am so grateful for everything you did for me. Thank you for always taking care of me, for all the advice you gave me, and for always seeing the potential in me to be something great. Thank you for all the laughs and fun memories we shared. I'll miss our talks about cars. I remember how you would still make me train for basketball even though I never played. You always saw strength and greatness in me, even when I couldn't see it in myself.I'll miss your smile that could light up a room, your contagious laugh, and your fried chicken, because Lord knows you could throw down in the kitchen. You lived an eventful life and touched so many people. Thank you for the impact you had on mine.I promise I'll be there for my cousins and Auntie, and I'll make sure they're okay.I love you so much. Enjoy your rest you've earned it. You'll always be in my heart, and I'll never forget you. ❤️
Tee, thank you for loving my sister the way you did. Thank you for being such a fine example of what a man of God, husband, and father should be! You left such an amazing legacy that your children and the generations moving forward will keep alive forever! We know that God is an intentional God and he makes no mistakes. I thank God for the life you lived and the love you provided my sisters, nieces, and nephew! Thank you and well done, bro!
Words can't even began to describe how or what I feel when it comes to you. When we first met... I knew from jump that we were going to mesh together. REAL recognize REAL... And that will forever be a true statement. Never judged me or any of my situates. In fact... You lent me a helping hand. You were and still is one of my "Go To" mentors. I can keep going on for days but I don't want to be greedy with this space. Just know that I got your family bro. I know that you would've done the same for me! Love you bro...
P.S... I'ma stay on my nephew John & help keep him on track. Which will probably be easy because you raised him rite bro...
I know you were a great husband and father to your family I was shocked when I heard that you passed but don't worry God got your family and you can now rest
Big T.Pate, words will never be enough to express the sadness we feel from you not being here with us in the physical.
I will always treasure the summers and playing basketball in the driveway! And when you were finally able to drive we would ride all around ATL.
Rest in heaven and eternal peace Cuzzo. Job here was well done!
My brother, Terrence Pate, was one of a kind. He set the standard for what it truly means to be a man—a provider who loved unconditionally, prayed faithfully, and taught by both word and example. His ambition drove him to work countless hours, always with a clear vision of building a better life for the people he loved.
Terrence believed in taking care of his family with order, respect, and love. He believed that leadership wasn't just something you talked about—it was something you lived. Every day, he showed his children, his family, and his community what integrity, sacrifice, and responsibility looked like. He believed that God was the glue that held everything together, and because of that faith, his legacy continues to bless his family even as he rests in eternal peace.
He never took any role lightly. Whether he was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, or friend, he embraced each responsibility with his whole heart. From the day we met, he accepted me as his sister and loved me without hesitation. His love for my sister made him love me and my entire family as if we were his own by blood. He never treated us like in-laws—we were simply family.
Anyone who knew Terrence knew he loved his Coca-Cola, Nutty Butters, and Oatmeal Pies. If they were in the house, everyone knew not to touch them—even when he was just visiting so often that it felt like he lived there. I can still remember sneaking one of his Cokes in high school and leaving a dollar behind, hoping it would soften the blow of doing the one thing everyone knew not to do. It always felt like an honor whenever I asked first and he actually said, "Yes."
Terrence was the person you could always call. Whether you needed someone to jump off your car, bring you gas, pick you up when you were stranded, or come all the way to my house just to kill a bug, he would show up. It became a family joke because everyone knew I would call Terrence over something most people would laugh at, and without complaining, he would come all the way to my house just to take care of it. That's who he was. If the people he loved needed him, he showed up.
One thing never changed—Kisha and the children always came first. He loved and protected his family with everything he had, and after making sure they were taken care of, he made time for everyone else.
Thank you, Terrence, for showing us what a real man looks like. Thank you for loving so deeply, leading so faithfully, and leaving us with a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.
You were my brother, my mother's only choice for her daughter, my sister's reason for existing, and a real-life hero to your children and nieces who was more of a daughter how you stepped in for her. We were blessed to have you, and we will carry your example with us for the rest of our lives.
Until we meet again, we love you always.
There are some people whose presence leaves a lasting mark on everyone they meet, and my big cousin was one of those people. He was the definition of a hard worker—someone who believed in earning everything through dedication, perseverance, and determination. No matter what life placed in front of him, he kept pushing forward, always doing his best to provide for the people he loved.
More than anything, he loved his children. They were his greatest pride and joy, and he showed that love not only through his words but through his actions. He showed up for them, supported them, and worked tirelessly to give them the best life he could. His love for his family extended beyond his children. He was someone his loved ones could count on, someone who cared deeply and made sure the people around him knew they mattered.
His kindness, strength, and unwavering commitment to his family are the legacy he leaves behind. Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love he shared so freely.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His spirit will continue to live on in his children, his family, and in the countless lives he touched. Rest peacefully, big cousin. Your work here is done, but your love will remain with us always.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
