Obituary For Wenford Ewings

Mr. Wenford Ewings, 66, of 105 Willow Street of Sylvester Ga. transitioned Sunday, August 1st at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Wenford was born to the late Warren and Lula Mae Ewings on June 17, 1955 in Albany, Ga. He was in the construction industry. In addition, he was a faithful deacon and teacher at Heaven Sent Full Gospel Church in Albany, Ga. In 1976, Wenford married his high school sweetheart Delois.

Wenford leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 45 years of marriage, Mrs. Delois Ewings; Children: Cindy (Spencer) Johnson, Tonia (Raymond) Miley, Khajuanna Carithers, Bretta Carithers, Lance Carithers, Shalynda Carithers and Channing (Courtney) Carithers; his Siblings: Annette (Willie) Munford, Mickey Ewings, LaCOnya (Kevin) Tunstall, Vernesta Jordan, Earnest (Priscilla) Ewings, Alfreda Slaughter, Anthony Ewings, Cynthia (Charles) Johnson and Floyzell (Sabrina) Johnson; his Brother and Sisters-in-laws: Henery Andrews, Ollie Faye Williams, Charles (Bobbie) Joiner, Diane Joiner, Emmanuel (Rita) Joiner Jr., Betty Joiner and Walter Joiner; his Aunts: Betty Jean King and Barbara Ann (Connell) Green; Seven Grandchildren and one Great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:30 at the Beulah Hill Family Life Center with committal service to follow at Shepherd Memorial Garden in Sylvester, Ga. Repast will be held at Summer Palace, 305 West Kelly Street, Sylvester, Ga.
