Mr. Willie C. Edwards, 74, of Sparks, Ga. transitioned on Wednesday, October 16th at Tift Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cottrell Chapel CME Church located in Sparks, Georgia. Mr. Willie James Edwards, Sr. was born on March 19, 1945 to the parentage of Mr. Robert Edwards, Sr. and Willie Mae Parker. He was born in Sylvester, Georgia. Mr. Edwards was a dedicated worker at Sierra Pines, Weyehauser Company, for more than 35 years. His chosen faith was Methodist where he served faithfully at Cottrell Chapel CME in Sparks, Georgia. Mr. Willie was preceded in death by his siblings, Doretha Jackson, Jimmy Edwards, and Bernice Edwards Butler. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Billie Jean Edwards; his children, Greta Edwards of Sparks, Ga., Willie James Edwards, Jr. (Deanna) of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Wanda Dunnum (Willie) of Sparks, Ga.; Sister, Quincy Redding of Albany, Ga.; Brothers, Michael Edwards of Achorage, Alaska, and Robert Edwards, Jr. of Achorage, Alaska; Sister-in-laws, Alice Hughes and Diane Moore of St. Petersburg, FL, and Cynthia Edwards of Achorage, Alaska, and a host of other relatives and friends
