Per families request, no flowers. Thank you
Deidre Watkins was born October 10, 1980 to the late Robert Lee Watkins Jr. and Phyllis Ann Watkins in Atlanta Georgia. She developed her career as a Medical Assistant over 15 years ago. She was a nurturer at heart and believed in helping others. Every day she worked hard to build a life for her beautiful children as they were the center of her world. Deidre will be sadly missed by her three children Arianna, Braeden, and Jayda Watkins; her sisters - Yolunda Brown, Shigel (Alvin) Smith, and Formeka Watkins; her brother - Marques (Monique) Watkins; her nieces and nephews Jazmen, Sydney, Andrea, Melody, Jordan, Masala, Justin, Sayon, and Jalen; and her 11 great nieces and nephew.
I met Deidre and her family when we were in primary and elementary school. Shigel and I became very close in our late teens so quite naturally Deidre became my little sister. The biggest memory of Deidre would be of the family crammed in the hospital waiting room waiting for Shigel to give birth to her first child, Jordan. I was sitting next to Deidre who was also pregnant with her first child but was not for what we thought due to give birth for another month or less. Well Deidre began to make These noises that my ear could not ignore. I asked her about 3 times was she okay. She said NO but by the fourth grunt/moan I said No you are not and before she knew it nurses were to the rescue. I knew she did not want to take the special moment from her big sister Shigel but she could no longer hold it. Such a sweet little sister. I love you Deidre and thank you for sharing your big sisters with me and family with me.

My favorite memory is when she came to the house for 4th of July celebration and she played spades with us and we did fireworks and she had such a good time. I will never forget all the time and effort and put into helping host my baby shower. I love you Deidre, like a sister. I miss you and you will always be in my heart. Thank you for all the love you showed me and my family. Prayers for her family and her precious babies.
