John Arthur Fleming Sr. Age 85, of West Palm Beach, Florida quietly passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Royal Palm Nursing Home. We request your prayers for the family and & Friends at this time.

Life Story

On Friday, January 20, 2023, he heard the Master’s call and heeded to his call and departed this life into his eternal rest.

Mr. John Fleming Sr. was born to the late Annie Kate Hodges on January 16, 1938 in Georgetown, Georgia. He attended Kaigler Training School in Gerogetown, Georgia He attended the shady Grove A.M.E Church in Georgia.

In the late 50’s he went to the Southeast to Miami, Florida. In the early 60’s he returned home to marry his childhood sweetheart Mary Cenella Fleming. Together they moved to West Palm Beach, Florida.

Then came (The Bundles of Joy). John A. Fleming Jr. Gwendolyn Ann Fleming & Bruce Edward Fleming. (The Love Of His Life).

He was employed for 40+ years in the construction industry. He obtained his apprenticeship (TROWEL TRADES) at North Technical Educational Center in 1971. He had a vision of becoming his own boss and own and operated, (Fleming Landscaping).

He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving children, John Jr, Gwendolyn Ann, (Greg) & Bruce Edward (Carla). Rod Guyton (Melanie).

Grandchildren; Sharon Moore, Kendall Fleming (Zan), Ciara Bellamy (Maurice), Aunjanae Foster, Blake Napier (Whitley) Bruce Fleming Jr. & Kayla Fleming-Orman (Cameron). Great Grands; Laila, Chanel, Blake Jr, Za'Niye, Zailyn, Za'Khari, Cohen, Machai, Kyla, Kiara, Morgan, Makenzie, Anthony, Alexia, Armond. Sisters & Brothers; Eva Williams of Miami Florida, who preceded him in death in 2022. Dorothy Butcher of Chicago, who preceded him in death, Lenora Corner or WPB, who preceded him in death.

Lillie Corner of Miami Florida, Marie Hutchins of WPB, who preceded him in death. Boyette Fleming (Connie) of WPB, and Raleigh Fleming of WPB, who preceded him in death.j Sisters-in-law & Brothers-In-law; Cora Boyer (AB) of Brooklyn NY, preceded in death, Earlene McCarthy of Newark NJ, Nellie McCarthy of Newark NJ, preceded in death, Maudie McCarthy-Green of Eufaula Alabama, Annie McCarthy-Byrd of WPB, Fulton McCarthy of NJ, preceded in death, George McCarthy of Georgetown GA, who preceded him in death.
