Dr. Aderemi Dosunmu, affectionately known throughout his community as Dr. D, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Dr. D journeyed across continents to the United States, carrying with him a deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to both medicine and karate, continually striving to provide the highest level of care to his patients while pursuing excellence and mastery in the martial arts.

A man of remarkable drive and vision, Dr. D's entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to establish multiple businesses, author several books and share his passion for martial arts through the dojos he founded, supported and taught in. His dedication, discipline and generosity touched countless lives and left an enduring legacy in the communities he served.

Above all, Dr. D cherished his family. He is lovingly survived by his wife, children, brothers and sisters, who will forever treasure his wisdom, strength and unwavering love.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 124 Rebecca Street, Hinesville, GA 31313. Rev. Dr. Sinclair L. Thorne, Pastor.

Though Dr. D has departed this life, his legacy of service, learning, leadership and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
