Obituary For Eddy Peacock

Mr. Eddy E. Peacock was born on October 31, 1961, in Madison, Florida, to the late Mr. Tal Peacock, Sr. and Mrs. Lillie Pearl Hadley Peacock.

At an carly age, Eddy accepted Christ and was baptized. He later became a member of First Antioch Baptist Church, where he shared in the fellowship of the church family.

Eddy was educated in the Madison County School System and was a proud graduate of Madison County High School, Class of 1979.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Eddy was a skilled concrete mason for more than 40 years. Throughout his career, he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He retired from Hunt Industries and later returned to the workforce, becoming employed with Cravens Industries.

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Langdale Hospice House, Eddy peacefully answered the Master's call and transitioned from labor to reward.

In addition to his parents, Eddy was preceded in death by his sister, Cora Mae Peacock; and two brothers, Harry Peacock and Norman Peacock.

Eddy leaves to cherish his precious memories and celebrate his life his devoted fiancée of 15 years, Lisa Howell of Valdosta, Georgia; two loving daughters, Contina Allen (Keith) of Valdosta, Georgia, and La'Tanya L. Peacock of South Brunswick, New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Corteaz Wells, Jr. (Izea) and Co'Miya Scott, both of Valdosta, Georgia, and Miguel Santana, Jacquees Peacock, Jacquez Peacock, Heaven Outland, all of South Brunswick, New Jersey and Hakeem Jaliah Brown of Thomasville, GA; four sisters, Jean Whidbee (Garry) of Delaware, Margaret Peacock of Madison, Florida, Janice Fead (Clarence) of Greenville, Florida, and Mattie Peacock of Madison, Florida; three brothers, Tal Peacock, Jr. of California, Marvin Peacock of Lake Park, Georgia, and Wilmer Peacock (Ruthnette) of Madison, Florida; Eddy also leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, devoted friends, and his beloved First Antioch Baptist Church family, all of whom will cherish the memories of a life well lived.

Though his earthly labor has ended, the love he shared, the work of his hands, and the memories he created will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at First Antioch Baptist Church, 517 North Oak Street, Valdosta, GA 31601. Reverend Albert L. Barfield, pastor, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery #2, 1376 SW County Road 360, Madison, FL 32340.

Public viewing will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
