Obituary For Mr. Albert Lee White

Don’t think of him as gone away his journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched…for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.

A Time To Be Born: Mr. Albert L. White, Jr. was born March 16, 1954 to the late Mr. Albert L. White, Sr. and Mrs. Rosa Lee White in Valdosta, GA.

A Time To Plant: Albert spent his early childhood in the Bemiss community where he attended the county schools. In his early years, he accepted the Lord as his Savior and was a member of The Christ Church of Universal Love under the leadership of Dr. Wesley Bee. He was employed for the City of Valdosta for many years as a Sanitation Worker.

A Time to Die: On Sunday, July 21, 2019 God dispatched his angels to the Miller Nursing Home and sealed his weary eyelids and said “Servant, Well Done.” In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents: Abe and Bessie Mae White, Willie and Mattie Newsome Dudley; his sister: Marion “Linda” White Griswould; uncles: William Dudley, Johnny Dudley and Jimmy Dudley, Sylvester Dudley, Robert Dudley, Roosevelt Dudley, Johnny Lee White and Jimmy Lee White; aunts: Rachel Mays, Lola Dudley, Willie Lee Oxendine and Ethel Mae Burgman.

A Time to Cherish Precious Memories: He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife: Bobbie White of Valdosta, GA; two loving daughters: Stephanie Daniels (Titus Williams) and LaMarion Hanks (Brian) both of Valdosta, GA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters: Ann Washington of Valdosta, GA, Ruthie Bass (Leroy) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Robin Smith of Winter Haven, FL and Sharon White Thomas of Valdosta, GA; six brothers: Willie Earl White (Gail) of Valdosta, GA, Tommy White (Martha) of Valdosta, GA, Hubert White of Columbus, GA, Timothy White of Norfolk, VA, Lawrence White of Valdosta, GA and Kenzie Lilley (Tangy) of Jacksonville, FL; one brother-in-law: Quin Griswould of Tampa, FL; four aunts: Geneva Forbes (Alphonso) of Plant City, FL, Barbara Jean White, Juanita Corbett and Rachel White all of Valdosta, GA; Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at First Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 517 N. Oak St., Valdosta, GA 31601. Rev. Albert L. Barfield, pastor, Dr. Michael T. Carter, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Second Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery in Quitman.

Public viewing will be held Friday, July 26, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
