"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Timothy 4:6-8

Stevens Funeral Home of Valdosta is serving The WHATLEY family with care, compassion, love and uncompromising dignity.
It was not only an absolute pleasure and honor, but equally a great joy to have been a part of Ms Whatley's (Grandma's) life. Certainly, she lived and fought the fine fight. There was nothing better than beginning and ending the day with a good, funny and sometimes exact word that needs to be heard from Ms Rachel. I often think of her and I'm sure many others do. She'd often be in prayer of had many talks of praise and gratitude that we'd often and quietly have the pleasure of listening to. Thank you for the time we had to care for and observe you. You're forever a treasure in our hearts.
Condolences to the family. Knew her from the neighborhood when I was a child. She was a very sweet lady
My deepest sympathies to the friends and family of my cousin.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
